ECOPARK ( La Mesa Watershed Resort and Ecological Park )

Would you believe that in the heart of a very busy city in Metro Manila lies an ecological park known as  Ecopark? Yeah that's right! Ecopark (Ecological Park) is a forest setting that lies within the La Mesa Watershed which measures 2,700 hectares. The whole area's official name is La Mesa Watershed Resort and Ecological Park which owned by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewage System (MWSS), a government agency. With the help of the ABS-CBN Foundation and the City Government of Quezon, Ecopark was developed and become one of the tourist attractions in Metro Manila.

ECOPARK VILLA

Along my way , I saw this structure looks like a clubhouse in a subdivision. I checked the area and I found out this is a waiting place not only for tourist/visitors but also for  photographers and models who are conducting a photoshoot  in Ecopark. You can also buy souvenirs here.

Inside the park, you will find a two hectares of flower terraces (Shell Flower Terraces) and Orchidarium which featured varieties of fauna. There's a part in the park looks like an amphitheater which is the best for photoshoot.

FISHING LAGOONS
One of the main attraction in Ecopark is the fishing lagoon Fishing is very popular to-do at this place. You can bring your own fishing gear or rent a fishing rod near at the lagoon. Pay for your catch per kilo.

If you're not tired doing a stroll around the park, take a  step in this stairway with more than 100 steps. It is surrounded of different plant species and beautiful flowers.

Ecopark is the best place for family picnic. You can rent cottage or do the  camping style or just putting a simple picnic mats on the ground. Tables and chairs are everywhere as well. Take a rest for awhile under the shades of the tress while chatting with your friends and family.

There are two swimming pool complex in the park. One is  the new swimming pool complex which both kids and adults will enjoy the 3 nice-designed swimming pools. It opens 8am-4pm daily. Pool Admission rates- above 3fts (adult)- P80 and 3fts below -P40

For all the sports aficionado, try paintball,  zipline and wall climbing. Experienced to climb with harness in a constructed wall with grips for hands and feet. It cost P100 per climb. After doing wall climbing, fly high in a zipline which cost P100. Paintball is another exciting activity to look for here in Eco park. The rate is per paintball bullet which cost P350/50 bullets and P500/100 bullets.

Even I'm alone going here (lakas ng trip ksi eh lol), I really enjoyed my ADVENTURE in ECOPARK..Leaving the park with a big smile and good shots from my camera.

It's only this year I came across La Mesa considering I reside from Capitol Hills, very near from us. Our agenda there was about geocaching [sort of treasure hunting], and I was successful, I discovered the loots! :) and I get to enjoy the park as well, dami nag pre-nuptial photoshoot jan, :)
