D-Zone Backpackers Inn Tagaytay (Review)

As a travel blogger, I’m not just looking for the most interesting and beautiful place, I’m also searching for the best and affordable accommodation where I can stay after exploring gems of the place .

D-Zone Backpackers Inn

Tagaytay is one of the popular destinations of residents of Metro Manila for a relaxing getaway. It is the best place if you want to feel mild climate and to have a nature tripping. The most significant place in Tagaytay is the view of Taal Volcano. Of course, Picnic Grove, Puzzle Mansion, Our Lady of Manaoag at Tierra de Maria, Palace in the Sky, Punta de Santiago Lighthouse, People's Park, Sonya’s Garden are some of the tourist spots you can enjoy while in this beautiful place.Travel time from Manila to Tagaytay is about 2 hours.

I found a new Inn in MetroTagaytay which specially designed for a backpacker like me- the D-Zone Backpackers Inn.

I know most of you heard the type of accommodation for backpackers, existing in Singapore, Hongkong and mostly in Europe. Mostly these establishments offer cheap accommodation with communal bathrooms, and just like a dorm type accommodation.

D-Zone Backpackers Inn Tagaytay is a four storey building with a cafe at the ground level. It has a total of sixteen rooms spread in three floors.  The lobby area is located at the 2nd level of the building. You can choose either on fan-room dorm-types (Php 1,200), fan rooms and air-conditioned rooms. If you want a room with own CR’s they have deluxe (Php 1,800.00) and superior rooms (Php 2,000.00).

I was welcomed with the very accommodating staff of the Inn. He assisted us going to my room. I noticed all walls are painted in eye-refreshing apple green. The hall way is not air-conditioned but it’s well-ventilated.

I forgot the name of the staff. Anyway, he actually informed first there’s no bathroom inside the room. It’s located at the far end of the corridor, just 10 feet away from the stairs. All guests have each own comfort room/bath room with key.

Backpackers Inn provided us with Deluxe Room. We noticed first the big bed, covered with white cloth. The room is air-conditioned, with chairs and table, cabinet space and a LED TV. It has also two windows where you can see the busy road of Emilio Aguinaldo Highway.

What I also like the place, it has FREE WIFI internet connection. As a blogger, I really need to have good internet connection get an updates from my social networking sites like facebook, twitter and instagram. If there’s also a time, I need to update my blogs.

The restaurant in the ground level is now under renovation but don't worry guys, there are lots of food establishments near the Inn. Jollibee, Mcdonals, KFC, Mang Inasal, etc are just 5 mins ride whether you take tricycle or a jeepney.

D-Zone Backpackers Inn Tagaytay is now offering bedspace. It's just Php 1500 per month. It includes free bed, free wifi, free hot and cold shower, free electricfan, free cabinet/locker, brand new room and free electricity.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Backpackers Inn. It's really the best place for a backpacker or traveller who's looking for a affordable and nice accommodation.

WIFI internet connection makes a HUGE difference. Haha! Rooms look comfy. Decent place to lay your head in case there's a sudden urge not to come home after a Tagaytay daytrip. Haha.

Your service is awful!! Bullshit!!! What kind of restaurant would let a cook/manager berate/scream at/humiliate their costumers publicly just because the customers requested to be seated together in a table???

Customer service at this lounge is unacceptable.. Have you ever heard of 'the customer is always right'? The cook mentioned earlier that she was HAPPY that there aren't a lot of customers because you're short on staff.. Well i guess it's high time you have this newly opened lounge closed again. The staffs incompetence and ill-manners is the deal-breaker.. As a customer, i'd rather eat in a small carenderia with accommodating cook than in a restaurant with disrespectful, unapproachable dumb waitress and cook.

My rate for this lounge is ZERO. I will never suggest this place to anyone.

  6. I am sorry you feel that way, but reading your post only tells half the story. My staff is very competent and friendly to customers who don't act like 5 year old's. If you truly want a 5 star experience then spend the money. And calling People dumb just because you caused a scene is very immature. Talk to your friends, on the way out they said that they very sorry for your behavior.
