Experience Authentic Thai Foods in SOM'S Noodle House

Before the 2014 starts with a blast, together with my badminton friends, we went to one of the famous Thai restaurants in Makati  that offering authentic Thai foods - the SOM’S Noodle House.

SOM’S Noodle House is specifically located at 5921 Alger St, Poblacion Makati City. It’s just near Rockwell Mall and Ateneo Graduate School of Business. This resto is situated in an area where you can find different restaurants offering international cuisines.

The outside appearance of SOM’S is very simple. You can easily see what’s inside the resto because of its glass walls. The parking lot is just in front of it. There are also tables and chairs outside where you can dine-in if you you don’t want to eat inside.

Just like the outside appearance of the resto, the ambiance of the inside part is also simple and it looks like the traditional casual dining establishment in Thailand. The walls are painted with a plain white color. It’s an air-conditioned restaurant with separate rest room for both girls and guys. The place is clean and their staffs are very accommodating.

One of the best-seller Thai cuisines there is the “Pad Thai.” It’s a noodle dish with shredded pork and beansprouts (togue). The taste of the meat and togue compliments with the taste of the noodles. The noodles are super wide and thin.

We also ordered curry foods in different flavors. I’m sorry guys I was not able to ask the name of those curry dishes because my friend Eco was the one who ordered for us. Don’t worry guys I’ll definitely go back here. The curry had a strong spicy flavor that I really liked. The spicy one is the one with red color.

Going back to the Thai foods of SOM’s, we also ordered vegetable salad. I know the price of this salad because I’m the one who requested for it. It’s P250 which is good for 2-3 persons. For all vegetarian out there, you must try this one because the salad dressing is really different from the vegetable salads that we normally eat in a fine dining restaurant. The cabbage, lettuce, cucumber and others are all fresh. It's also a good partner with their Thai spring rolls.

And finally, don’t forget to order their popular Thai Tea.  It’s a brown color drink on a plastic bottle. What I suggest to you guys, put in a glass with lots of ice. It tastes so  good if this really cold. It's not that sweet compared with other milk teas.

Tropa, I will definitely go back here and give you the full details about other Thai dishes and their prices. I must say, each of the delicious dishes is actually worth every penny.

Thank you as well for my awesome badminton friends- Eco, Angelo, JM, Jake, Rundy, David, Dwine, Martin, Dio. Melvin and our beautiful muse, Lyn :-)

Thank you for reading my blog. See you on my next food trip.
