If you don’t have any plans this April, you might wanna check out one of the biggest festivals in Negros Occidental-the Panaad Festival.
The Panaad sa Negros Festival, also called the Panaad Festival, is celebrated every second of week of April in Bacolod City. This year, the festival will be celebrated from April 7 to April 13, 2014.
The festival is dubbed as the "Mother of All Festivals” as it showcases the 32 festivals of the 13 cities and 19 municipalities of Negros Occidental. It features street dancing, fluvial parade, dance competition, and among others.
This event also features the pavilions of the cities and towns, designed as replicas of their respective municipal or city hall. Different kinds of agricultural products that can found in the province are being presented as well during the festival.
Meanwhile, the word Panaad is from a Hiligaynon word which means “vow and its fulfillment.
The schedule of activities is not yet announced.
For next year celebration, it will be held on April 6, 2015 to April 12, 2015.
