Philippine Passport: How To Apply Guide

If you're planning to go abroad either for work or for a vacation, Philippine passport is a very important document that you should have when travelling outside the country. It's a document indicating your basic personal details that will prove immigration officers of your citizenship.

Getting a  Philippine passport is now easier compared 10 years ago.You don't need to go DFA main office and fall in long lines for more than an hour just to get your passport. There's now an appointment system implemented by the DFA. You can get an appointed date, time, and option for passport delivery through the DFA website. Everyone should make an appointment online whether a first time applicant, renewal or loss passport.

The first step is to go online at, select the site nearest your place of residence or place of work to set an appointment, which include DFA ASEANA, DFA SM City Manila, DFA Robinsons Galleria, DFA SM Megamall, DFA Metro Alabang and DFA Ali Mall.

After selecting the DFA office where you want to set an appoitment, you need to fill up the application form completely. There will be an email that will be sent to you to confirm your appointment. Click the confirmation link within 24 hours to confirm the appointment otherwise the appointment will be cancelled.

Prefer your payment (Regular processing fee - Php 950.00 (25 working days) Rush processing Php 1,200.00 (15 days). An additional fee of Php 200.00 will be charged for processing of Lost Passports if it is still valid.
