Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival 2017

If you are planning to visit Puerto Galera in 2017, put on your summer bucket list the unique music and arts festival in the country, the Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival, happening from March 10 to 12.

Manjuyod Sandbar is Maldives of the Philippines

Did you know that there's a destination in the Philippines that can be compared to the beauty of Maldives? Yes, it's located in Negros Oriental which features powdery white sands, clear aquamarine waters and wonderful view of mountains around the sandbar. Aklan | Ati-Atihan Festival 2017 Schedule of Activities

Ati-Atihan Festival is one the biggest festival in Philippines held annually in January in honor of the Santo Niño (Infant Jesus). It is considered  as the country’s own version of Mardi gras.


Ati-Atihan Festival is celebrated on the third Sunday of January in Kalibo Aklan. The event features street dancing, floats parade and people wearing indigenous costumes and weapons.  The festival has inspired many other Philippine Festivals including the Sinulog Festival of Cebu and Dinagyang of Iloilo, both adaptations of the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival.

Travel Guide | Masasa Beach In Batangas

As a backpacker, I 'm always looking for a budget-friendly destination. Due to my busy schedule in blog events and work, I preferred a place which is near the Metro. One of my friends suggested to visit the unspoiled beach in Tingloy Island in Batangas, the Masasa Beach.


Masasa Beach is a 1-2 hour drive from Manila. This white beach can be reached from Mabini Batangas via a 45- minute motorboat ride. The jump-off point is either Talaga Port or Anilao Port. First trip in Anilao/Talaga port starts at 10AM.

Masasa Beach in Tingloy Island

Aside from Burot Beach,  the Masasa Beach in Tingloy Island is one of the unspoiled beached in Batangas. It features white coastline, pristine water and some rock formations. It's  three-hour land trip and a 45- minute motorboat ride from Manila.



After passing ricefields,  you will be welcomed of some small waves and howling wind. There are some small fishing boats are docked along stretch of the shore. The beach has white sand but it's not  powdery compare with other  white beaches in Batangas. Pebbles in different colors and sizes as well broken corals are scattered everywhere.

Palaui Island 2016

Palaui Island was in CNN's top 10 best beaches in the world (2013). The island also became the setting of 'Survivor' USA Season 27 and Season 28.  It is 7,415-hectare national government-protected marine area which features white beaches, crystal clear blue water, beautiful coastline and amazing coves.



Palaui Island is located in Cagayan Philippines. It's 14 hours drive from Manila and can be reached from Tuguegarao City via a two-hour land trip and a 45- minute motorboat ride.

Mt. Sapari and Mt. Binutasan in Tanay Rizal

Mt. Sapari and Mt. Binutasan are the newest mountains opened in Tanay Rizal. It's a minor climb with 12.81 km. distance from the jump-off area (versa) Mount Sapari is 592 metres above sea level (MASL) while Mount Binutasan is 562 metres above sea level (MASL).

Dubbed as the Maysawa Circuit, the he terrain of Mt. Sapari and Mt. Binutasan is similar to Mt. Maynuba and Mt. Batolusong. It features various hills, view decks and cogon-grasslands. At the summit, you will view here of nearby mountains such as Mount Batolusong,Mount Cayabu Mount Daraitan, and Mount Maynuba.

Colorful Houses in Benguet

One of the newest tourist spots in Benguet is a mass of colorful houses in Barangay Balili in La Trinidad.

The newest attraction located specifically in the sitios of Stonehill, Botiwtiw and Sadjap (STOBOSA) in Barangay Balili in La Trinidad. All houses were painted in various colors and patterns which inspired from the famous favelas in Rio del Janeiro, Brazil.

AXN was home to the previous four seasons, with the most recent edition concluding in 2010, and will now air season five. The show will debut in its fifth run on AXN in late 2016. Baler | Surfing Paradise in Philippines

Jomalig | Golden Island in Quezon

Aside from Bordeos and Polillo Island, the unspoiled paradise of Jomalig is a must visit in Quezon Province. It features golden sand, pristine water, pine trees and accommodating locals known as "Jomaligins."

The jump off point to the island is in Real, which is around 4 hours away from Manila by bus or a private van. Take another 6-hour long boat ride on a cargo vessel through an open seas. The Real port is the easiest way to reach Jomalig Island. You can also rent a boat at Dalahikan port in Lucena.

Mt. Ulap 2016

Quiapo | Feast of the Black Nazarene 2016

Are you one of the millions devotees of Black Nazarene?  For sure you're one of the devotees who are waiting the month of January to join the procession of the Black Nazarene to commemorate the Translacion" in Quiapo Church. Minalungao National Park I The Amazing River in Nueva Ecija

Thee Hinatuan Enchanted River at Barangay Talisay, Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur is now very famous in the Philippines. Usually a river showcase a clean and clear water but this river has a shade of sapphire and jade. Another unique river which can be found in the north that features an amazing beauty, the Peñaranda River.



The Peñaranda River in Minalungao National Park is different from the regular river. Just like Hinatuan Enchanted River, it has a shade of turquoise color. It's bordered on both sides by the amazing limestone walls in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range. You can find here floating bamboo rafts for those who want to explore the area via the flowing water.
